Hello there, I''m Tom! I arrived here at the beginning of February under some sad circumstances. You see, my favorite human passed away, and I was with her for all 8 years of my life. Despite the huge shift in my world, I have really taken this in stride. Out of all of the cats on the adoption floor, the staff have told me that I''m one of the most affectionate. I simply enjoy humans! I''m the type of cat who would gladly follow you from room to room, stare at you longingly, paw at you affectionately and curl up on the other end of the couch while you binge watch Netflix. You may notice the sign that mentions something called `FIV`?FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, is a feline-only slow acting virus. It''s an immunodeficiency virus that essentially makes me have the same immune system of a kitten?but for life! FIV+ cats receiving supportive medical care and kept in a stress-free, indoor environment can live a normal, happy life. Please don''t let this deter you from meeting me! If I hadn''t told you, you''d likely never know!
